If you have her name that would help a lot, I used Archives to find marriage,divorce,and birth records. Also, try signing up for ISSR,if you include a donation they will notify you that they received your form.

I have a very interesting update. I recieved another email from the story that was posted in the Dunoon-Observer. A lady in Scotland who discribed herself and a amateur geneologist did some research on my behalf. She located my older bio-sister and brother, as well as a younger 1/2 sister I...Unsure what to do now.

I am adopted and was born in Maine in 1961. The agency that handled the adoption was St. Andres in Biddeford, Maine. I sent for and received my original birth certificate in April of 2013. Sorry it's vague, but Im searching for a niece who was born 1978-1979, mother's name was Christine/tina from Lacey and father, my brother was Bill from Bayville. My adoptive mother is terminal and doesn't have much info that she can remember. The internet is my only outlet... I cant afford a trip to my birth town or the ridiculous fees from DHS... poteau is tiny town.... im sure someone would know something if the right person saw any of my posts on any of...Searching for adoptee

Not sure if you've seen the news - thanks to a new law, NJ adoptees will finally have access to their original birth certificates, starting in 2017. Yes, that's a 2+ year wait from now, but it's something to keep in mind for the future... Were you adopted through an agency/private...Florida unsealing records?

Good cause is medical or like with me. Florida now mandates you have a birth certificate to renew your drivers license that is cause. I tried and tried until Florida exempted me but now I have to have it for my social security. I will be petitioning the court next week. Will let you know what...
